The South Gippsland Tourist Railway runs a collection of historical diesel locomotives and
railcars between Leongatha, Korumburra ,Loch and Nyora along a section of former Victorian Railways
mainline. The steep and windy track skirts its way along the hills of the beautiful Strzelecki Ranges,
with spectacular views across Gippsland towards Phillip Island and the Wonthaggi coast.
Along the route you will see the rich farmlands of Gippsland and the beautiful Australian bushland.
Visitors frequently see native wildlife, from Kangaroos, Koalas and Wombats, to Cockatoos, Galahs &
Parakeets. This adds to the splendour of the journey.
Historic trains operate every Sunday and on Public holidays
(excepte Good Friday and Christmas Day).
The journey from Leongatha to Loch via Korumburra takes
65 minutes (return trip 3 hours)
