A visit to Loch is not complete without a stroll along the main streets where you can browse in the antique & craft shops and enjoy refreshments from the cafes.
Loch is a tiny heritage village, beside the South Gippsland Highway, just over an hour from Melbourne. Many of the town's original buildings still exist today and most of the historic structures have signage stating their orginal purpose.
Loch Village offers a serene, rural atmosphere. The streets are planted with award-winning cottage gardens which will delight you. Residents and traders in the town are friendly, outgoing and happy to share their local knowledge.

As well as cafes in Loch offering light refreshments, the hotel caters for meals and accomodation. Close by to Loch are Bed and Breakfasts & wineries.
Loch's location makes for an easy drive to Phillip Island, Wilson's Promontory or to the beautiful beaches of Inverloch.
Loch is situated on the old Gippsland Rail Line and weekends see regular visits of Vintage Diesel Rail Cars, operated by the volunteer South Gippsland Tourist Rail group. The journey from Loch to Leongatha on the train takes you through magnificent rolling green hiils
The second Sunday of each month is market day in Loch, whether it be the Lions Market Oct - April or the Loch Indoor Market May - Sept.
