Who are we

The Greenhills Benevolent Society Inc was formed to provide benevolent assistance to people residing within the Loch, Poowong, Bena, Nyora and surrounding communities.

The Greenhills Benevolent Society Inc was established in 2006. It was created as a result of the closure of the Greenhills Aged Care Hostel. It was formed in recognition of the contribution that the people of the surrounding communities had made to this facility and to continue to benefit the people of these communities.

For example grants may be sought for but are not limited too:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Carer respite

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Supply of mobility aids

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->One-off payments in times of emergency

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Health care needs

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Aged care needs

<!--[if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->A number of educational scholarships will be granted each year; applications are invited during the month of June.

Who can apply

Any person residing in the Loch, Poowong, Bena, Nyora and surrounding communities can apply. Grants will not be provided where options for assistance from other ogranisations, such as government departments are available to the individual. Each application is assessed on a case by case basis.

How do I apply

Applications can be accepted at any time. Please contact The Secretary (details on back page). All grants will be made at the discretion of the Greenhills Community Benevolent Society committee. The committee meets on a monthly basis.
